In-house capabilities include design, page layout, scanning and proofing. We operate both Mac and PC-based systems. Sigma’s staff includes graphic designers who have the training and experience to create a custom calendar product tailored to meet your corporate marketing needs.

Complete turnkey creative services. Our graphic arts professionals can serve as your agency, providing you with all aspects of creating the products you desire. Intermediate sketches and designs can be submitted for review; copywriting and editing services implemented; and final art prepared and proofed. All of these services are available for your convenience.

Providing services in conjunction with your in-house capabilities. Many of our clients have active art departments and in-house professionals who interact with Sigma’s staff. Our graphic artists will work closely with your corporate staff, serving as an “arm” of your marketing or advertising department.

Working with your agency of record to provide supplemental services, Sigma’s art department often interacts with the consultants or designers from our clients’ advertising or creative agency. This ensures a smooth transaction between their concepts, designs, or specifications and our production efforts. Our staff will accept design elements and instruction from an agency and client. Any number of graphic art services can be utilized in conjunction with an agency’s services—a kind of “supermarket” of choices.

Our Story

Since 1967, Sigma Marketing has been serving the calendar promotion needs of businesses large and small.


A Brief History:
Founded in Illinois in 1967 by Donald T. Sapit, Sigma Press, a commercial printing business, was strategically developed to become Sigma Marketing. Sigma focused on print production and sales to a specific market segment that utilized desk pad calendars as a vehicle for advertising and sales promotion. Seeking friendlier climate, the administrative, marketing and prepress production facilities were relocated to Florida in 1985.

After the move, Don’s son, Mike, joined the business. Mike has a degree in graphic arts from Illinois State University and has held production and estimating positions in the Chicago area printing industry. In 1993, Mike became President of Sigma, and Don was named Chairman of the Board.

During the years following Sigma’s relocation, the product line was expanded beyond the original desk pad calendar to include new formats and sizes. Sigma’s services and capabilities became even more diversified as a trend was observed in larger corporate clients. They were looking for unique calendars, multiple products and vendors to whom they could source the entire promotional and administrative management of their program.

Sigma has provided quality, custom promotional calendars for forty years, serving domestic and international markets. Personal service, our hallmark, is backed by a long history of satisfied customers. Our staff of professionals is both the foundation and the heart of our business. Chain of Custody

When we choose products from FSC certified forests, we support the conservation of forests and wildlife, helping people live better lives.

Sigma Marketing has joined the growing list of Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certified companies to both meet the demands of our clients, and achieve improved access in an increasingly environmentally aware market area. We take seriously the growing environmental concerns of our customers and employees alike by becoming certified, and demonstrate compliance with many public and private procurement policies.

Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certifications designate that the process by which paper is made promotes sustainable forest management standards. Sigma Marketing customers will have their work designated with the appropriate CoC logo when work is printed on certified paper. These printed materials can be tracked from the harvesting of the wood (from well managed forests) all the way to consumption by the end-user.

Sigma is Tri-certified, with all three important certifications: Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™). Ask about the availabilty of any of these certifications for your project.

As a CoC Tri-certified company, Sigma Marketing is able to print a wide array of products for our customers using paper products that are produced in accordance with the highest environmental standards. Many of our customers are also working hard to reduce their environmental impact, and are asking – and even requiring – that we provide CoC certified products. We believe that the certification standards that we have implemented encourage responsible forest management globally and demonstrate our commitment to the environment and to our customers.

Mike Sapit
President


Mike actually got his start in the family business as a teenager, working in the bindery. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in graphic arts, he worked for several years in Chicago as a print estimator, grooming to bring his experience to Sigma Marketing. He joined the company in 1985 in sales and marketing and production management – eventually stepping into his father’s role as president when Donald Sapit retired in 1995. Mike knows the commercial printing industry as well as the custom calendar niche that Sigma has carved out for itself under his leadership. He nurtures a spirit of professionalism and camaraderie among his staff. Their commitment to the company shows in the high level of teamwork, loyalty and enthusiasm. A high percentage of long-term employees is also evidence of Mike’s effective leadership. He loves riding his Harley and is a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. Mike and his wife Sandy have three adult sons and one grandson. They enjoy traveling and family time together.

Trisha Bartz
Director of Administrative Operations


Upbeat and outgoing, Trisha heads up our customer service department with enthusiasm and skill. She has been with Sigma since 2002, and came from a strong background in customer service for the financial industry. She has a B.A. in Corporate Finance from the University of North Florida. She works closely with our database and information systems. Trisha really understands all of the nuances of our unique production and distribution processes. She keeps her team focused and on target for a variety of calendar programs and customer needs throughout the year. Trisha is our office Disney fanatic, and has a weakness for all things Disney…she even bears a strong resemblance to Tinker Bell! Trisha and her husband Mike enjoy their country home, spending time with their daughters Tori and Bailey, and frequent trips to Disney World. Trisha says, believe it or not, that she LOVES working for the same company as her mother, Sheri Hollister.

Kellie Cash
Graphic Designer


Kellie began with Sigma in 1990 as a college intern while earning her A.A. in Graphic Design. She has provided a benchmark of quality graphic design for the rest of the staff – expanding her creative abilities and understanding of calendar design in every possible way. She brings to the company a background of fine art alongside an evolving knowledge of state-of-the-art digital graphics, color management and printing processes. A busy mom as well, we’ve had the joy of working with Kellie through the birth and rapid growth of her two children, Michael and Samantha; as well as the growth of her three step kids into adulthood, Amanda, Steven and Chris. She and husband George enjoy living out in the country with their family on their little farm and love visits from their three grandkids. When not playing taxi for the kids to karate, band or 4H meetings, Kellie enjoys riding her horse, playing with the dogs and rabbits, drawing, painting and a variety of crafts.

Sherry Dehner
Marketing Specialist


Sherry joined our team in July of 2010 with a focus on sales and marketing. She is a graduate of Stetson University with a B.S. in Business Management and has over 20 years of sales and management experience. Sherry and her husband Tim reside in the Orange Park area with their teenage daughter Savanna. They are a career military family, with Tim serving as an active duty helicopter pilot and instructor. Sherry has a "can-do" attitude, which, along with her outgoing personality and penchant for customer service, has helped her create long-lasting business relationships. Sherry offers creative marketing solutions to our clients with commercial printing and calendar promotions as well as special advertising promotional products manufactured through our Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) network. She loves spending time with friends and family, going to the beach and traveling.

Matt is a graduate of the Graphic Arts program at Florida Community College of Jacksonville. While a student, he began working for Sigma as an intern in June of 2006. As a member of the graphics department, Matt handles the majority of Sigma's web-based needs while still meeting demands regarding prepress and design. Matt brings a unique perspective to Sigma, and is always eager to learn new systems and advancing technologies. He also has other creative interests outside of work – playing guitar and amateur video game design.

Sheri was the first Hollister to work for Sigma, coming on board in 1998 as part of our administrative and customer service group. Sheri is a dedicated employee who is eager to assist our clients and tend to the “nuts and bolts” of our operations: order entry, reconciliation, proofreading, project management and communications. Before joining Sigma, Sheri worked as a legal assistant in a law firm, then took some time off to stay at home with her three children. An integral part of our graphics team, Jay joined Sigma in 2004 with a strong background in prepress, commercial offset and digital printing. He brings to the table excellent graphic applications skills, scanning expertise, and comprehensive knowledge of color management, graphic arts, printing and bindery processes. Jay enjoys the challenges and rewards of design and production, and dives into problem solving and new technology the way he dives into a new novel. He is an avid reader and proud family man. Linda Mowers
Art Director


A fine arts major, Linda began working in the printing industry while in college in the mid-seventies. She began as a typesetter and layout artist, and has worked for many years in the commercial printing industry. Training on new equipment and systems as they developed, Linda has evolved her skills and knowledge amid the rapidly changing world of graphics and printing technology. Before joining Sigma in 1991, she worked for ten years in the corporate marketing department of a Fortune 500 trucking company – designing and producing corporate marketing materials, publications, presentations and advertising. At Sigma, Linda specializes in both graphics and in specialty promotions. She works closely with our account executives and their customers to meet their graphic and design expectations, and also develops products and programs from apparel to corporate gifts. Linda has one adult daughter and a 5-year-old grandson. She and her husband Barry are very involved in their church community and make time for local community service and social justice work. For pleasure, she enjoys her friendships, reading, movies, art, philosophy, and travel.

Jeff Sapit
Marketing Production Manager


Jeff joined Sigma in May of 2009 after graduating from the University of North Florida with a Masters in Business Administration. His post-graduate work was focused in finance, but he feels that his calling is in marketing. Jeff brings fresh marketing ideas to our team. As Treasurer and Executive Board member of his college fraternity, Jeff developed a relational understanding of teamwork, integrity and leadership. As third generation of his family's marketing and publishing business, Jeff has been involved with Sigma since a very tender age. During his college days, he took the opportunity to intern with several printing companies in order to expand his experience and knowledge of printing and graphics. Jeff loves to barbecue and is an avid participant in CrossFit training, along with his wife Michelle. He and Michelle are health and nutrition enthusiasts, and they enjoy cooking and grilling together to compliment their focus on fitness. They are the proud new parents of son Brayden born in January of 2014.

Chris came on board with Sigma in 2011 as part of our bindery team but has grown into the administrative and customer service group. Sigma offers personalized services tailored to meet the marketing needs of the larger business with a network of dealers or locations.


Our staff can take away the time-consuming and costly task of managing your calendar promotions in-house. We develop procedures to fit your company structure and your individual needs. You are not forced into a prefabricated program.

Sigma works closely with your corporate marketing department to design and produce materials and order forms for your calendar program. All orders are collected, monitored and processed by our experienced staff, from typesetting of individual imprints, proofing and printing, to distribution and shipment tracing.

All locations will receive confirmation of their orders. If items are to be individually imprinted, each location receives a copy of their imprint to approve before printing. Questions concerning calendars can be handled directly by Sigma, saving your busy staff time and money.

Printing & Bindery

Sigma Marketing conducts its administrative, sales and prepress business from corporate offices in Orange Park, Florida.


Press and bindery operations are maintained at facilities in Jacksonville, Florida; Ottawa, Illinois and the metropolitan Chicago area.

Our administrative staff works closely with supervisors and technicians in all phases of printing and bindery throughout the year to assure that our quality standards are met, and to orchestrate each project through to completion. Each project is unique, and is matched to the best-suited print and bindery equipment for optimum production and economy.

Calendar Imprinting
Calendars for each location can be individually imprinted, creating a customized, professional appearance. Imprint information often includes logos, telephone numbers, fax numbers, addresses—both physical and remittance, and email.

You designate what information can be included in an imprint. Sigma then follows that criterion concerning size, information, and fonts, thereby ensuring all imprints have a uniform look. Imprints are generally—but not limited to—black. Some of our customers have had as many as six colors on their imprints.

When calendars are imprinted, your locations are asked to approve the imprint portion before we print. Sigma will fax or email a copy of the imprint on which to mark changes or to approve “as is.”

Sarah Ritzmann
Graphics and Client Relations


Sarah joined Sigma’s staff in 2013 and floats between the graphics and administration departments. Her administrative duties include order processing, proofreading, customer communications and service. She also researches and develops the data used in our corporate calendar promotions, and produces our internal proofing guides. On the graphics side, Sarah sets up calendar imprints for corporate programs and layouts for a variety of commercial printing projects. Sarah has a diverse background which includes graphics, customer service, sales and scheduling. She is great at multitasking and a strong communicator. Sarah is married to Jeremy and they have a young son, Judah, who is in preschool. Even though she is an only child, she has a large extended family and enjoys their frequent gatherings, cooking with her Grandmother, and spending time with friends, as well as her immediate family. She also serves her faith community as a trustee on their state-wide board of directors, and stays busy with her local congregation as a committee chair and lay worship leader.

Our newest team member, Linda, is back at work after taking time out as a military spouse to her late husband Jack, and to raise their three children. She has joined Sigma with a strong background in bookkeeping, purchasing and sales in both retail and industrial businesses. Her three children are now adults, and Linda is a proud grandmother of two. She has also made room in her home to share with her elderly mother, and she enjoys their deepened relationship after living so far apart during those Navy years. Linda loves being with all of her family and friends, and when she finds extra time on her hands, she enjoys pursuing her genealogy as a hobby.

Cindy Hnatusko
Customer Relations


Cindy was previously employed with Sigma from 1997 to 2009, and departed to pursue a business venture with her husband. She eagerly returned to the team in the fall of 2015 as a member of our administrative and customer service group. Cindy is a devoted and enthusiastic employee whose previous understanding of our business operations, along with her recent executive assistant and human relations experience, brings an outstanding level of knowledge and support to our administrative, customer service, calendar program and production process areas. Cindy and her husband, Walt, have three children and two grandsons. She enjoys running, baking, going to the beach, and spending lots of “Gammie” time with her grandsons at their Happy Place in St. Augustine Beach.
